Pesantren Ma’arif NU Metro Lampung pada hari jum’at pagi tanggal 04 februari 2022 melakukan aktivitas seperti biasa dimana para santri putra maupun putri melakukan Kerja bakti atau biasanya disebut oleh para santri yaitu Ro’an.

Ro’an atau Rokan merupakan sebutan pelaksanaan kerja bakti yang dilakukan di Pesantren. Ro’an biasanya berupa membersihkan lingkungan pondok, membersihkan WC, mengangkat pasir dan bahan bangunan untuk pondok, dan lain-lain.

Aktifitas kerja bakti atau Ro’an ini memiliki esensitas yang majemuk. Ro’an tidak hanya menghasilkan suatu kebersihan lokasi pesantren (kebersihan dhohiriah) saja namun lebih dari itu, roan menyimpan hasil lain yakni kebersihan batiniyah (kebersihan hati). Tidak hanya olahraga fisik tapi juga riyadhoh hati.

Ro’an yang dilakukan bersama-sama oleh segenap santri dilaksanakan dengan keikhlasan, kebersamaan, dan kegembiraan. Tak jarang di tengah-tengah aktifitas ro’an tiba-tiba terdengar kelakar beberapa santri. Di pesantren, situasi kerja bakti bersama tidak menjadi penghalang untuk saling menstransformasikan ilmu lewat perbincangan-perbincangan kecil. Jika ada istilah bermain sambil belajar, orang-orang pesantren pun mencipta istilah kerjabakti sambil belajar dan berbagi pengalaman.

Sebelum melakukan kerja baktii atau Ro’an santri ma’arif NU Metro Lampung dikumpulkan di Aula Pesantren untuk membagi tempat mana saja yang dibersihkan guna mempercepat Kerja bakti atau Ro’an cepat selesai dan menghasilkan kebersihan yang maksimal.

‘’Kegiatan  roa’an ini biasanya diawasi oleh para pengurus pesantren, agar menghasilkan kerja bakti yang bersih maka dari itu tidak sering para pengurus pesantren mengabsen para santri sebelum kegiata Ro’an dilaksanakan.’’ Ungkap pengurus pesantren ma’arif NU Metro Lampung.
